Salary: $3000-4000

Job Description

We are starting up a brand new product in fintech. Being our Senior Python Engineer you are responsible for supporting and managing our business logic and data structures. Your primary focus will be building backend processes and underwriting pipelines in a robust manner. Our company deals with money so getting the numbers correct is of the utmost importance.

Responsibilities

• Managing and continuing to build data pipelines
• Converting backend logic built in Rails to Python
• Structuring Testing framework.

Skills

• Experience with Python and frameworks (Sql-Alchemy/Django/Flask)
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Strong unit test and debugging skills
• AWS Lambda, CodePipeline a plus
• Jupyter notebook/lab a plus

Experience

• Has shipped and iterated multiple features
• 5+ years of experience with Python
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Strong fluency in English language
